2020 Tournament Details & How to Apply
January 16 - 19, 2020 

1.  Team Divisions

  • Divisions will be available for age groups 60+, 55+, 50+, and 45+.

  • Divisions also available for 35+ =  D, E, F, G and H.

  • Total of 84 teams will form 21 divisions consisting of 4 teams each.

2.  Ice Time Scheduling Criteria.

  • Three games guaranteed format. Fourth championship game for top 2 teams / division.

  • Tentative Ice Times (subject to city approval)
    > Thursday:  5:30 -   9:30 pm.  (Teams within 60 miles may be required to play one game)
    > Friday:       2:00 - 11:00 pm.  (All teams must be prepared to play Fri. afternoon. Teams)
                                                          (can volunteer to play an early hour (2-4) on Friday)
    > Saturday:  7:00 am - 11:00 pm
    > Sunday:    8:00 am -   3:00 pm

  • 42 Teams will advance to play a 4th game on Sunday.

  • Every effort will be made to optimize Individual team schedules.

  • With the exception of errors, the schedule will not be altered after December 01.

3.  2020 Entry Fee Payment. 

  • The 2020 Entry Fee is $880 per team.

  • If paying by Email Money Transfer:
    1 Transfer for $880  must be paid by June 15/2019 
    2 Transfers for $440  1st by June 15/2019   2nd by Nov. 15/2019.

  • If paying by Cheque:
    1 Cheque for $880 must be paid by June 15/2019
    2
    Cheques for $440  1st dated June 15/2019  2nd dated November 15/2019.
    Both cheques should be mailed with application or within a week or two after applying on line.

  •  Make cheques payable in Canadian Funds to : Niagara Falls Tournament Fund .

4.  Hotel Accommodations for Out of Town Teams.

  • Special hotel rates are available for teams that require overnight accommodations.

  • View participating Hotels and rates by clicking Hotels above.

  • YOUR HELP IS IMPORTANT:
    >
    Hotel contacts need to know you are part of the Auld Reid Tournament when you reserve your rooms.
    > Your records enable the Tournament organizers to successfully apply for an Ontario Tourism Grant
    > All funds from the Ontario Tourism grant are donated to the Auld Reid Charities.

5.  How to APPLY.

  • Last year's teams are guaranteed a spot in the 2020 Tournament until June 15, 2019.

  • NEW teams can apply any time. You are encouraged to apply early as it's first come first served.

  • NEW teams Accepted to play will be confirmed/notified July 05, 2019.

  • NEW teams that are NOT placed by July will be notified and their cheques/transfer returned.
    The Tournament will keep your Application active in case their are cancellations.

6.  Key Dates to Remember

  • June 15:             Initial or full entry Fees are due.

  • July   05:            Confirm New Teams & Return cheques/transfers for teams not Accepted.

  • November 01:   Final Rosters must be submitted by this date

  • November 15: : Final Entry Fee payment is due

  • November 24: : Teams receive email notification of division placement

  • December 01: : Schedules are final... No changes permitted.
