July 30, 2021            2022 Tournament Details & How to Apply
 
1.  Team Divisions

  • Divisions will be available for age groups 60+, 55+, 50+, and 45+.
    July 30: We are considering having a 65+ Age Division and a 70+ Age Division in 2022. 
    If your team is interested in applying to play in one of these Divisions please tell us
    which Division in an email to  
    auldreidhockey@gmail.com.

  • Divisions also available for 35+ =  D, E, F, G and H.

  • Total of 84 teams will form 21 divisions consisting of 4 teams each.

2.  Ice Time Scheduling Criteria.

  • Three games guaranteed format. Fourth championship game for top 2 teams / division.

  • Tentative Ice Times (subject to city approval)
    > Thursday:  5:30 -   9:30 pm.  (Teams within 60 miles may be required to play one game)
    > Friday:       2:00 - 11:00 pm.  (Teams must be prepared to play Fri. afternoon. Teams can)
                                                         (volunteer to play 2-4 on Friday on the Application Form)
    > Saturday:  7:00 am - 11:00 pm
    > Sunday:    8:00 am -   3:00 pm

  • 42 Teams will advance to play a 4th game on Sunday.

  • Every effort will be made to optimize Individual team schedules.

  • With the exception of errors, the schedule will not be altered after the first week of December.

3.  2022 Entry Fee Payment.    The 2022 Entry Fee is $930 payable no later than November 15, 2021.
 
     
IMPORTANT: Cheques should be mailed with application or mailed immediately after applying on line.

  • Cheques should be post dated to November 15, 2021.

  • e-Transfers should be sent to  auldreidhockey@gmail.com  between Nov. 01 and Nov. 15, 2021.

  • All Cheques & e-Transfers will be processed on or after November 15, 2021.
    If the tournament has not received a Cheque or an e-Transfer from a team, that team may not be placed.

     

  •  Make cheques payable in Canadian Funds to : Auld Reid Hockey Tournament.

4.  Hotel Accommodations for Out of Town Teams.

  • Special hotel rates are available for teams that require overnight accommodations.

  • View participating Hotels and rates by clicking 'Hotels' at left.

  • YOUR HELP IS IMPORTANT:
    >
    Hotel contacts need to know you are part of the Auld Reid Tournament when you reserve your rooms.
    > Your records enable the Tournament organizers to successfully apply for an Ontario Tourism Grant
    > All funds from the Ontario Tourism grant are donated to the Auld Reid Charities.

5.  Registration Process: How to APPLY.

  • Teams that played in the 2020 Tourney are guaranteed a spot in the 2022 Tournament until Sept. 07/21.

  • NEW teams can apply any time. You are encouraged to apply early as it's first come first served. 

  • NEW teams that are NOT placed by Sept. 21 will be notified and their cheque/transfer returned.
    The Tournament will keep your Application active in case their are cancellations.

  • To Apply, click on the Application Form found on the 'Application and Roster' page at left.

6.  Key Dates to Remember

  • September 07:  Final date to confirm a spot for returning teams. 

  • September 21:  Notify teams we’re able to place, other teams to be kept on file.

  • November 01:   Final Rosters required all cheques and e-transfers received

  • November 15:   Cheques & e-Transfers will be deposited.

  • November 24: : Teams divisions and schedules issued.

  • December 01: :  No further Schedule changes will be made.
